To deepen cooperation based on mutual interests and strengthen friendly relations, the Japan-China “Belt and Road” Promotion Association delegation visited Changzhou, China, on March 27. Changzhou Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor Zhou Wei met with Hamada Kazuyuki, President of the Japan-China “Belt and Road” Promotion Association, and his delegation. The meeting was also attended by Ke Zhizhong, Director of the China Economic Liaison Center.
Welcoming the delegation warmly, Zhou Wei expressed gratitude for the long-standing support of the Japanese community for Changzhou’s development. He highlighted that Changzhou has maintained extensive economic and cultural exchanges with Japan in recent years. Emphasizing the city’s commitment to high-level openness, Zhou stated that they look forward to welcoming more Japanese investors and friends to Changzhou. He particularly emphasized the importance of promoting youth exchange programs to further deepen the friendly ties between the two nations.
Hamada Kazuyuki expressed admiration for Changzhou’s advancements in sectors such as new energy and biotechnology. He reiterated that Japan and China are close neighbors and that the association remains committed to enhancing cooperation between the two countries. During their visit, the delegation toured leading enterprises in Changzhou and participated in a conference aimed at fostering collaboration between Japanese and Chinese businesses within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
